South Shore Lodge

South Shore Lodge is multi-million pound amenities complex overlooking the loch.

We commenced construction in 2017 after it took a number of years to get the project up and running, owing to the area of natural beauty that the holiday park sits within. The project was completed in late 2019 and now, on the site of a former steading building, the complex includes the ‘Vista’ Bar & Restaurant, fitness suite, American pool/games room and children’s play area.

Perthshire Caravans worked closely with Dundee-based Andrew Black Design and Perth construction company Algo Design to bring the two-storey project to fruition.

Director Ian McCormack said, “By providing this impressive, state-of-the-art facility, we meet and exceed the expectations of our discerning client base and provide a fantastic community resource for those who live in and around Loch Earn.

“The complex also helps boost the local tourism industry, attracting more people into the area throughout the year and not just during the busy holiday season.”

Andrew Black added, “The lower level is built into the existing slope, elevating the upper floor level to maximise views across Loch Earn and the surrounding area.

“As much material as possible was re-used from the ruined steading to increase the use of natural materials. Large feature windows, and an elevated decking area to the north, makes the most of these magnificent views, with the stone for the lower level finishing the look of the building impeccably.”

South Shore Lodge opened a little later than planned in 2020 – at the beginning July – as Scotland was coming out of the coronavirus pandemic “lockdown”.

It marked an exciting new chapter for Loch Earn Leisure Park – the state-of-the-art facility really is the finishing touch to this already amazing holiday retreat.
